Nibbles came for a visit!

We were lucky to get a visit from Annette and Nibbles the famous Guinea Pig today. After her adventure in the Tawa School Flood in 2015 there was a special book written about Nibbles! some of us have even read it in our reading group.
Annette read the story again to us all and we even shared some more flood stories with the children.
Here is our amazing writing about our Nibbles visit.

Week 7 in Room 8

We were lucky to have been gifted a Little Garden Set from New World. The children have been learning about seeds, plants and the growing process. This year they have also included flowers alongside the vegetables that are specifically chosen to attract bees. We have also been talking about how important bees are to our eco system and that we need to protect them.
Have a look at our buzzy bees we made, when we had finished hanging them up , one of the children said that our classroom was starting to look like a garden.

We read the Big Book The Super Smile Shop, as a writing response we had to write about something that made us smile and made us feel happy. These will be collated to create a big book for our classroom library.

Well Done to our superstars this week Lachlan and Nehan :)

Thank you again to everyone that supported the Onsie Day on Friday. The children all looked fantastic!
