Bubbles. Bubbles, Bubbles!

It has been a bubbly week in Room 8. We have made blown bubbles, measured bubbles. Watched a bubble movie, wrote about being in a bubble. Read about bubbles, made bubbles and have done bubble painting!

We started off our week by reading the Big Book Bubbles by Dot Meharry

We blew some bubbles, we had to think about- What we saw? What we thought? and What we wondered?

We made our own bubble mixture by following some instructions

We published our amazing bubble writing- We had to imagine that we found some bubbles. What happened? Where did we go? What did we see?

We created some bubble painting 

Our bubbles look beautiful hanging in our classroom.

Week 4 in Room 8

Another busy week in Room 8.

On Tuesday we enjoyed another session of PMP and we were lucky enough to have Author Averil Mc Donald come  to visit us and read us some of her stories about being brave. Room 8 were great listeners and were able to  talk about ways they could manage their problems

 

We enjoyed another great Kapa Haka session joining in with the Sunshine Team. We paired up with an older child and learnt some action songs.

We have been enjoying our new maths equipment brought from money raised from the basic factathon.

Meet our new friend Ted. He will get to go home with the star of the day each day. We look forward to hearing about all of the adventures Ted has.

PMP Fun

Fun at PMP

We were really excited to be doing pmp today as we had missed the previous two sessions due to having the lockdown practice and school photos.

Rachel and Olivia were our wonderful helpers and we enjoyed starting our session of with a fun and silly song.

At writing time we talked about what a "doing word" ( verb) was. The children gave each other lots of examples- climbed , crawled, jumped etc.
